Nice to meet you, we are Louise and Hans, partners since 2002. We connected over our shared love for the outdoors. With Louise’s love for horses, Hans’ love for construction and tinkering and a little bit of luck we’ve found the perfect home back in 2014. In 2020 we finally decided: this beautiful piece of nature has to be shared with the world! Thus, Guesthouse 220 was born.
Louise grew up in the Cruquius, a small village in the Dutch countryside. She has always been around animals, growing up with a pet goat and a father who loved horses. This upbringing resulted in a lifelong love for animals. Hans spent years travelling the world on oil tankers and eventually decided to settle down, back in the Netherlands. They started their search for a house when Louise told Hans of her wish of caring for her own horses. They never expected to find this slice of heaven in the middle of the Randstad.
The property around Guesthouse 220 offers ample space for pets. Mickey the cat spends a lot of time hunting mice in the surrounding pastures. Toshi and Manos, the dogs, love barking but wouldn’t hurt a fly. Furthermore, Pelle and Vonger, the horses, enjoy the surrounding meadows. There are also many other animal species that can be found on and around the site, such as foxes, hares, rabbits, ducks, buzzards, swallows and pheasants.
